About the Client
ScanWay Space is a Polish-American leader in the design and manufacture of optical payloads and cameras for the space industry. Their solutions are synonymous with innovation – so far, technology developed by ScanWay has participated in 8 space missions.
Challenge and Scope of Cooperation
Production of optical instruments for operation in a vacuum and extreme temperatures requires absolute precision. Our task is not just “cutting metal”, but comprehensive engineering support.
Maximus CNC’s cooperation with ScanWay Space includes:
- Process Planning: We work closely with ScanWay engineers already at the concept stage, analyzing the project specifics for manufacturability (DFM).
- Prototyping and Testing: We perform test series that allow verifying design assumptions and refining details before flight.
- Final Production: We deliver finished components that become part of satellites and vision systems.
Application of our parts
Components produced by Maximus CNC form the backbone of optical systems. These are primarily:
- Precise housings for cameras and electronics (metal elements ensuring protection and heat dissipation).
- Mounting elements for space optics, which must maintain dimensional stability in difficult orbital conditions.
